DAY 1 FLIGHT TO NEW YORK
Welcome to the Big Apple. Upon arrival meet your Travel Your World Tour guide and get acquainted with your hotel in Manhattan just 1 block off Broadway. Complete you first day with a walking tour of Broadway and Times Square.
DAY 2
This morning enjoy your guided tour of New York. See some of the famous landmarks such as Lincoln Center, Ground Zero, Rockerfeller Center, Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Apollo Theater, Harlem Times Square, Broadway and Little Italy. During your visit to the Radio City Music Hall see the Great Stage designed by Peter Clark, the famous Wurlitzer Organ. Finish you day with a shopping excursion to SOHO and Canal Street. Enjoy the fusion of of culture as you step into Chinatown and have fun in the trendy boutiques of SOHO. After dinner enjoy your first Broadway performance.
DAY 3
Continue your tour to Battery Park. Take the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty and the Ellis Island Immigration Museum. Enjoy lunch at Battery Park and return to Times Square for some free time to explore this fascinating block. Broadway, flashing lights, and trendy boutiques have made this area of New York a people watchers paradise. Finish the evening with an 830 meter lift to the observation deck at the Empire State building.
Day 4
Music in New York!! Today your Orchestra Clinic will offer you, a musician, the opportunity to work on your current repertoire or a new piece with a world class artist from renowned concert bands, orchestras, opera companies and Broadway shows. This two-hour clinic will take place in a private studio. Guest clinicians speak directly with your group directors, in advance, to discuss details of the clinic and to meet your educational objectives. Arrangements can also be made to rent instruments or other equipment if needed. Spend you afternoon and enjoy a one hour program with an incredible artist from the Metropolitan Opera and see the fascinating backstage anecdotes, hear personal career stories and a very enjoy an exclusive performance just for your group.
Day 5
After your morning stroll through Central Park, continue on to the Metropolitan Museum for Fine Art. In the evening attend your second Broadway performance.
Day 6
No visit to New York would be complete without a visit to Julliard. Your tour of the Juilliard School will tour you around the facilities and studios. Your guide will be a current student who is trained and equipped to answer questions from a student's perspective as well as share with you their personal experiences as a Juilliard student. You will have the opportunity to will be shown classrooms, practice and performance spaces. Be sure to have all your questions ready. During your afternoon visit he New York Theater where your tour will include the home of the NYC Ballet Company. Tickets to a NYC Ballet will be available pending performance dates.
DAY 7
Start the day with a visit to the Natural History Museum. Become inspired and discover our responsibility in this cultural world. The NHM has one of the world's most extensive collections of natural and cultural valuables in the Eastern Hemisphere. Later, spend you last night in New York at the Blue Note for an evening dinner and a Jazz performance.
